matcha is my go to drink in the afternoon. i think it’s about the whole process of preparing it, i find it just so therapeutic. it’s good for antioxidant, L-theanine and supporting liver detoxification and a steady boost of much needed energy! i really enjoy using my bamboo whisk instead of a frother. i feel like it blends the matcha a little bit better and feels a bit more traditional. i do also want to quickly mention the type of matcha that i use. i think this is quite important when it comes to the taste and the overall experience. i use an organic, cermonial grade matcha that i get on Amazon.
- INGREDIENTS:
- - jade lead organic ceremonial matcha
- - milk
- - ice cubes
- - honey
- - water
- METHOD:
- add about 1/2-1 teaspoon of the matcha powder to matcha bowl. add just enough water (about 1/4 cup) to be able to whisk the matcha powder. take your bamboo whisk and do an M shape to mix. i like my matcha lightly sweetened, so i add a bit of the honey and whisk again. fill a glass with some ice. then the fun part is to pour in the matcha mixture and add your milk.
