how to make flowers last longer

after the time i spent at home increased, i started buying more flowers. i always feel so much better just looking at flowers, so i figured out different ways to keep them fresh and last longer.  i hope you enjoy today’s flower lesson.

cut the stems at a 45 degree angle – cut them every time you change the water.

for flowers with leaves on the stem, cut off all the leaves that go into the vase. because if the leaves are soaked in water and rot then the flowers wither quickly.

use warm water and change the water frequently – the warm water will be better absorbed by the flowers, which helps them last longer.

diy flower food – 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 tablespoon of vinegar – this reduces bacteria.

aspirin – add another tablet after one day.

a penny! the copper acts an acidifier to fight bacteria growth.

store the flowers in the fridge overnight – the low temperature slows aging.

p.s. flowers that are long lasing are chrysanthemum, pasta gerbera, alstroemeria and pompon.
