peanut butter and dark chocolate are the perfect combination, so why not add bananas, you know for some potassium and health. this is such a good frozen treat when you feel like having something sweet.
- INGREDIENTS:
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup almond butter
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate
- sprinkle of sea salt (optional)
- METHOD:
- slice your bananas. put a little almond butter on one side. then, take your other banana slice and make a little mini almond butter sandwich. repeat. once your done, you're going to put your bananas on a sheet pan with parchment paper. put them in the freezer for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. this way it's easier to work with once you put the chocolate. once your bananas are chill, melt your chocolate in a bowl. take your frozen almond butter sandwich with a fork and dip it in the chocolate bowl. then, with another fork put the chocolate all around. scrape off the extra chocolate and place your banana on the sheet pan. lastly, place them back in the freezer for a couple of hours
- QUICK METHOD:
- slice your bananas and place them on sheet pan with parchment paper. drizzle your room temperature almond butter over top. melt your dark chocolate and drizzle overtop. pop your bananas in the freezer for about one hour.
- NOTES:
- to melt the dark chocolate, use a microwave-safe bowl and a spatula or spoon. chop the chocolate into smaller pieces, place the chocolate in bowl and into the microwave for 30 seconds. take it out and stir. next, put it back into the microwave for another 20 seconds.
