“all that really matters is that the people you love are happy and healthy”
we are stepping into the most festive season of the year and i wanted to write a little note wishing all of you a Merry Christmas. as we get older, Christmas becomes more about giving and appreciating. health and happiness also becomes the most important thing– especially now. i hope you get the chance to spend Christmas with the ones you love the most and that you have the best time making Christmas memories.
sharing some small and simple ideas to have the best Christmas:
1. ground yourself first thing in the morning. this could be with a coffee, book, movement or taking some deep breaths. anything that makes you feel really good. a good morning extends itself throughout the day. this helps you come back to yourself and recenter if you’re feeling overwhelmed.
2. prepare Christmas themed food. a simple idea: caprese Christmas tree with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil topped with balsamic glaze.
3. write a Christmas letter to your closest friends and family to let them know how much they mean to you. there’s nothing like receiving a letter from someone you love. it’s the thought that someone put the time and effort into writing to you.
4. bake your favorite Christmas treat and eat all of those well deserved treats.
5. enjoy your favorite Christmas traditions even if it’s midnight mass.
6. light all of your Christmas candles.
7. put on your favorite Christmas song and sing! see how happy this makes you. (this is perfect if you’re travelling by car, nothing compares to listening to music in the car
8. go for a Christmas walk and get some fresh air
9. wear your favorite Christmas dress, sweater, or pajamas.
10. enjoy the quality time with your loved ones and don’t forget to annoy them.
