10 minutes a day cleaning routine

when the morning begins, you have to live diligently, so you can finish your housework early. rather than thinking about when to clean, i decide that i can do it in 10 minutes or less. this always gets me started and i hope it will work for you. there are many things that take less than 10 minutes. a nice plus, is when you clean, you’re moving your body here and there. so a clean home and exercise? sounds good to me.

the first thing i do when i wake up is open the door for fresh air. (it’s winter here in New England, so i don’t leave the door open for too long). you could also open the windows. this allows any bad air to be removed.

the front door is the first impression of the house, so you have to sweep it frequently to remove dust that sticks to your shoes.

clean the kitchen chairs, table and placement.

5 minutes to clear the living room. put the blankets away from the night before. put the remote where it belongs, fluff up the couch and cushions. and maybe if you’re feeling crazy, a quick vacuum.

one of the ways to keep your kitchen tidy is to use kitchen tools like containers.

placing items in their right place is another small way to keep your home clean.

just making your bed can make your home look much more tidy.

closing cabinet doors/closet doors or pushing chairs in has the effect of making rooms look cleaner.

clean the microwave with tangerine peels and water in a bowl for 5 minutes. the microwave will be easy to clean because of the internal moisture. sometimes we put this off bc we can’t see the inside of the microwave.

place a small towel on the bathroom sink to wipe off the counter to prevent scale buildup. make sure to wring out the wet towel and dry it to use it again. replace after several uses.
